A beautiful example of the Coalport factory "Rock and Tree" pattern, done in the Imari palette, derived from the Japanese. This pattern was highly favored by George, the Prince of Wales and the Prince Regent, and was used and still displayed at the Royal Pavilion in Brighton.

The dish, or soup bowl, is in superb condition, with no flaws and with factory-fresh looking painting and gilding...

An 18th century coffee cup painted in blue and white. Nicely potted, the decoration features an oriental scene of a garden structure on a promontory, and trees, flowers, and foliage. Excellent condition, with no issues, and a height and diameter of 2 3/8".

These wonderful painted (some outlining is printed) plaques were done in the Staffordshire area of England in the late 18th century. They are 6 1/2" long and 4 1/2" wide. Each depicts a classical head in profile. It is uncommon to find a pair, especially in such wonderful condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs of any kind, and the painting is vibrant and unscratched.

A beautiful Dr. Wall First Period Worcester coffee cup and saucer in the Jabberwocky pattern, one of the most sought after polychrome patterns done by Worcester. Both the cup and saucer are fluted, placing it in the earlier period of this pattern. The color palette used includes turquoise, reds, deep blue, greens, and rich gilding. The interior border of the cup is also lavishly decorated...

A beautifully painted William Reid coffee cup with a large floral group and several smaller ones. Loop handle. The paste and glaze combination gives this cup a very distinct greenish gray appearance, not seen in other factories. It is difficult to capture the color properly in photos, but the first one shown in this listing comes closest to the actual color.

This piece is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. It is 2 3/8" tall, with a diameter of 2 1/16" at the top...

A spectacular and rare 18th century Chelsea porcelain teabowl and saucer, each piece very finely and thinly potted and fulsomely painted with exotic birds and insects in landscapes, with a thin reddish-brown edge to the rims. The interior of the bowl has a flower sprig. Examples of this pattern are almost unheard of, and because of the superb technique, the painting was very probably done by Jeffrey Hamet O'Neal or William Duvivier...

A beautiful example of a "Warren Hastings" type Chelsea porcelain plate, molded with a rococo style border reserved with three scroll-edged panels painted with landscapes including a lake, distant towers, woods and figures. There are mixed flower sprays, smaller sprigs and a butterfly in the center, with the rim picked out with a brownish red line. Red anchor mark and stilt marks on the reverse. Painted in a lovely soft palette.

The plate is 9 1/2" in diameter...

A fine pottery dark blue and white Staffordshire platter, transfer printed in the "Birds and Fruit" pattern. Unmarked except for an impressed "12" on the reverse, but attributed to John Hall & Sons, Burslem, England.

The central scene features two birds amidst a panoply of fruit, including pears, strawberries, blackberries, grapes, etc. The cavetto and wide rim has a border of flowers and foliage...

A very unusual James Pennington bowl with a shaped rim. The painted scene depicts oriental buildings, with the reverse showing rockwork and a variety of odd trees. The interior rim of the bowl has a blue border with stylized flowers or fruit.

The bowl is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, paint loss, or restoration. The enamels are a deep, rich blue. The diameter is 4 3/8" and the height is 2 1/8".

Panelled and diaper molded border picked out in blue and green, handpainted and signed "P. Vissier", and dated 1769. The plate has two labels, one from the Newman collection, and the other from the Harriet Carlton Goldweitz collection, considered one of the finest English pottery collections of the last 25 years. 9 5/8 inches in diameter, superb condition with deep, vibrant color, and no chips, cracks, or restoration.

A fine and early Worcester patty pan, painted in underglaze blue with the "Bare Tree and Speared Bird" pattern, with trailing leaf sprays on the exterior and a painter's mark on the bottom. This pattern appears to only have been used on patty pans, and is also the only other pattern, aside from the full "Mansfield" pattern, that has a "Mansfield" pattern border.

More important is that the patty pan with this pattern, uncommon in itself, was made in two forms...

This is a very fine Dr. Wall Worcester sparrow beak cream jug, dating from the 1765-1768 period. The pattern features brightly painted pomegranates in various stages of development. There is only one other example of this pattern recorded: a coffee cup that was theorized to have been made as a replacement for a Chinese teaset, and was offered in one of the Zorensky sales...

A rare and elegant first period Dr. Wall Worcester cream boat. This thinly potted superb example is of vertical faceted form with a double C-scroll handle with a raised thumb rest, and is painted in blue in the Prunus Root pattern. The gnarled root depicted has flowering branches trailing around the rim and small insects, the bottom with workman mark "IH".

Pristine condition with no issues at all. Clear, non-blurred painting...

A beautiful and rare Chelsea Red Anchor plate distinguished by both its raised strawberry and leaf decorations around the gently undulating border, and the central bird. Plates with such a border are known, but not common...

The Chelsea porcelain toy offered here is a magnificent 3 3/4 inch tall scent bottle in the form of a flower vendor dressed in a white apron, a blue bodice enhanced with a red ribbon, a yellow lined purple flowered jacket, and a turquoise skirt. She is holding an elongated basket of greenery in her right hand, and a large basket of flowers cradled in her left arm. A wonderful Bow porcelain factory tea bowl painted in the "Jumping Boy" pattern. Although this pattern is occasionally found on Chaffers porcelain, and is not common, it appears to occur even much less frequently on Bow porcelain pieces. The potting is extremely thin and light. The painting, done in shades of dark and lighter blues, is extremely well done, and features a seated Oriental woman holding a sprig of flowers. A fine and rare Bow porcelain coffee cup and saucer painted with the "Dragon Chasing (the Flaming) Pearl (of Wisdom). The interior of the cup also shows the dragon, while the exterior of the saucer is painted with clouds. One of the ways to distinguish this early Bow version is the arrow shaped tongue emanating from the mouth of the dragon. The pieces are very finely potted, and each has a workman's number 13 on the bottom. The handle of the cup is of the crabstock or twig form.

A beautiful and rare bucket shaped cup made by the Bow porcelain factory and decorated in gilt, iron red, green, and blue in the kakiemon "Two Quail" pattern. The arrangement of the pattern is also unusual on this piece, with the birds placed directly opposite the handle.
