The condition is excellent with no problems, as is the condition of the case, which has a glazed aperture on the rear. The size of this charming painting is 2 1/2" by 2".
Note: Theodore Peticolas (1797 - 1866) was the son of Philippe Abraham Peticolas, an artist. Theodore was born in Pennsylvania, but then moved to Richmond, Virginia. He was later in Alabama and Ohio. Considered an accomplished painter, his work was exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, among other venues.
